Make your own way to Nairobi's Wilson Airport.
Depart Wilson Airport at 0900hrs and fly to Kalama Airstrip, Samburu arriving at approximately 1000hrs.
Met and transferred to Saruni Samburu by road 30 minutes away.
Experiences available today; day & night guided game drives, visit the Photographic Hide by the waterhole, guided bush walk, sundowner, birdwatching, stargazing, swim in one of the 2 large swimming pools, do some yoga or exercise or just take a massage or spa treatment.

Enjoy Samburu

Today, after breakfast you will have the option to visit a local Samburu cave featuring ancient rock art, or you could climb Mt. Olololokwe (extra cost and needs to be prebooked). Other activities available at extra costs and would need to be prebooked are a cultural visit to the local village & community and helicopter excursions.
Otherwise, you can just enjoy the other activities which are already included in the cost of the safari - game drives during the day & night, go on on guided bush walk, maybe enjoy a sundowner after a bush lunch or before a bush dinner, or even take part in the Warriors Academy which is a special programme in bush skills & animal tracking. At night you can stargaze or take a scorpion/night torch safari within the premises.

Day 3

Off to find rhinos

Off to find rhinos

Today, after breakfast you will take the Northern Express shuttle to Saruni Rhino located in Sera Conservancy, two hours away. This is an inhouse seat-in-coach shuttle, which will depart with a minimum of 2 passengers and maximum 6, excluding the driver.
This is a quick and safe way to get from Kalama Conservancy to Sera Conservancy, both in Samburuland.
Experiences available at Saruni Rhino include rhino tracking on foot, game drives, spectacular birdwatching, waterhole sightings, use of the swimming pool, guided bush walk, sundowner and sunset lugga walk.
If the weather is good, you could even have a bush dinner along the dry river bed.

Day 4

Visit Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

Visit Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

If the weather is still good, enjoy a bush breakfast along the dry river bed.
The full day is for you to decide on whichever activity pleases you.
You can decide to enjoy any of the activities as per the previous day and in addition, you have an excursion to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary included. This will take approximately 4 hours travel time, plus 1-2 hours visiting the elephants. Reteti is Africa's first community owned elephant sanctuary. They rescue orphaned and abandoned elephant calves, with the ultimate goal to release them eventually back in the wild.
If the time of year is also right, you may also be privileged to visit "The Kisima Hamsini" - a series of 50 springs where local pastoralists take their livestock to water, and while singing they also dig up water from the wells to fill up holders and troughs.
Other activities available at an extra cost would be helicopter and bi-plane excursions.

Masai Mara here we come

After breakfast today, depart by road on the inhouse Northern Express shuttle to take you to the airstrip 2 hours away.
Your flight will depart the airstrip at approximately 10.15 a.m. to arrive Masai Mara at around 12.15 p.m. where you will be met and transferred to Saruni Wild located 15 - 30 minutes away from the airstrip.
Activities here include day & night game drives, picnics, bush meals, sundowners, Warriors Academy - a special programme in bush skills & animal tracking, guided bush walks, birdwatching and, depending on the day of the week - a local market visit.
Lunch, dinner and overnight at Saruni Wild.

This is your final day on safari.
You are free to choose whatever you want from the previous day's activities.
If you prefer, you can choose from any of these additional activities all available at an additional cost - massages & spa treatments at the Maasai Wellbeing Space located at nearby Saruni Mara, Ol Chorro Rhino Sanctuary visit, throwing of seedballs and even drive atop Mount Kilileoni (advance booking required).
You can even plan for a hot air balloon safari for the next morning.

After an early breakfast today, you will depart for the airstrip to catch your flight departing at 8.15 a.m. to arrive Nairobi at approximately 9.45 a.m.
Upon arrival at Nairobi's Wilson Airport, own arrangements or otherwise feel free to ask us to provide you with a transfer to the international airport for your onward international flight, or book a hotel for you or perhaps extend your stay to a beach resort.
