Day 2

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast and begin the trip to Murchison Falls National Park in the north-west of Uganda, a journey of 380km about 5 hours’ drive.
Traverse through the undulating hill slopes of Nakasongola before branching off at Nakitoma for 7 km to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located about 176km north of Kampala.
Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is a proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda following their extinction and thus offers an unforgettable Rhino tracking experience. Ziwa is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.
Presently the sanctuary is home to over 20 southern white Rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks and relaxation.
After this activity, you will continue on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Game drive and Boat cruise

Game drive and Boat cruise

You will wake up very early in the morning to go for a morning game drive where you will have a chance to spot early risers and nocturnal species before they return to their hideouts. The 3,893 sq. km park is home to a range of animals, and you will have a chance to view some of the Park’s residents including lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, antelopes, buffalo, and elephants.
In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gorge plunging 43 meters into the Nile on the way to Lake Albert.
The cruise will take you close to the falls’ base where you will be shown the spot where Ernest Hemingway crashed during a sightseeing tour to Murchison Falls in 1954.
After this experience, you will sail back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, continue out of the park. Pass through the Albertine Escarpments and the verdant countryside, traditional farms and homesteads for an arrival and enroute lunch in Hoima / Fort Portal in the afternoon.
Retire for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

After breakfast, go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest with the highest concentration of primates in Uganda, like Red Colobus, Black & White Colobus, Grey cheeked Monkey, Blue Monkey, Red tailed Monkey, olive baboons and bush baby.
This park has also got wild mammals like forest Elephants, Bush pigs, Hyenas, Duikers, Antelopes, without forgetting 372 species of Birds like Blue headed Sun birds, Warblers, Bee- eaters, King fishers and many others.
After lunch, proceed to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a simple nature walk and tour the neighboring Bigodi community.
Overnight stay and dinner at the lodge.

Stop for sight-seeing and lunch enroute, then proceed on the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will take a packed lunch, have a briefing by the game guides at the park headquarters and start your gorilla trail. Hiking through the thick, verdant, rainforest to eventually come across the gorillas in their natural habitat, is an amazing and unforgettable experience.
This encounter takes between 2 to 9 hours and is the highlight of an Africa exploration safari. You will only have 1 hour of close contact with these calm gentle apes, take pictures and get acquainted to them.
You are free to shoot as many photos as you desire before retreating from the activity to return to the starting point.

After breakfast, embark on the trip to Kampala, traversing the impressive plain lands in the countryside of southwestern Uganda before getting to Igongo Cultural Center 12km past Mbarara town for a traditional sumptuous lunch.
Proceed to the equator for memorable photo shoots. Arrive in the evening and head back to the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport for departure.
