Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch & Big 5 Game Reserve - afternoon safari

Depart Cape Town at 07:30 in your rental vehicle and drive to the Cape Winelands. Walk about in the historical town of Stellenbosch is a must for any visitor to the Cape. The European period architecture here is outstanding. Visit one of the Cape's finest wine farms for a tasting and time permitting, a cellar tour. Drive through the Huguenot tunnel into the Great Karoo which is home to your Big Five Luxury Safari Lodge.

Afternoon/sunset safari, on return, your dinner shall be ready, warm up next to the fire and feast. After dinner partake in stargazing where an astrologer shall point out constellations, like the Southern Cross which can only be seen in the Southern Hemisphere. The Great Karoo is famous for its clear night sky.

After an early morning game drive & hearty breakfast depart for the Cape Peninsula/Cape of Good Hope which is a World Heritage Site for its exceptional floral diversity. Visit the iconic Boulders Beach Penguin Colony.

Continue to the Cape of Good Hope National Park where the cold Atlantic meets the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Stand atop the Cape Point cliffs for unsurpassed views over the two oceans. Visit the Cape of Good Hope & be photographed at the most South Westerly point of the African continent. This famous landmark was named by the early Portuguese mariners in the 1500's

Cruise the famous Chapman’s Peak Mountain Pass with breath taking views over the Atlantic. On your way back to Cape Town admire the Twelve Apostles, Lions Head, Camps Bay & Clifton beaches, with a final stop at Maidens Cove to watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.
