Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast and check-out, you depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve (approximately a 5 to 6-hour drive). The journey may take longer due to the scenic drive and possible wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival at Masai Mara, you will check in at your lodge.

The Masai Mara ecosystem has been classified among the "Seven Wonders of the World” due to the spectacular great migration when over 1 million wildebeests and more than a hundred thousand zebras cross the Mara River from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of water and greener pastures.

After enjoying a hot lunch at the lodge, embark on a thrilling afternoon game drive in Masai Mara, which offers a chance to witness the incredible diversity of wildlife, including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and more. You will return to the lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara Exploration

In the early morning, you will start your day with a game drive to witness the sunrise and catch predators during their most active hours. Return to the lodge or camp at mid-morning for a hearty breakfast and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a leisurely lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in a different part of the reserve. Explore the diverse landscapes and capture incredible wildlife moments. Later, you will return to your accommodation, have dinner, and spend another night in the heart of Masai Mara.

More Mara Experiences

You will spend the entire day in the Masai Mara, maximizing your chances of encountering various animals and witnessing the great migration (seasonal, typically July to October). A picnic lunch will be provided in the park.

In the afternoon, you can opt for another game drive or choose other activities offered by your accommodation, such as guided walks or bird watching.

Optional activities in the park include a visit to a local Maasai village to learn about their way of life. You can also book a hot-air balloon ride and experience an exceptional view of the great savannah from above (both not included in your package). You can enjoy sundowners later on in the evening, overlooking the plains and discussing the day’s sightings with your fellow travelers.

Dinner will then be provided before an overnight stay.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast and check-out from your lodge, you will begin your journey from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru (a 5 to 6-hour drive), enjoying the epic scenery of the Rift Valley along the way. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon, in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in. Then, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the park's famous rhinos and other wildlife.

Lake Nakuru National Park offers a habitat to a wide variety of bird species. It is an awesome place that bird watchers would enjoy. In the evening, you will have dinner and rest for the night at your accommodation.

Morning Drive and Departure for Nairobi

You will be taken out for an early drive before returning to your hotel for breakfast. This is your last chance to take in the beautiful scenery the park offers. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and proceed to Nairobi. This marks the end of an unforgettable safari experience.

In Nairobi, you will be taken to any place of your choosing within the city, be it the airport for your trip back home or a hotel for an extended stay in the country.
