A hearty welcome to Uganda. When you arrive at the airport today, you will be greeted by our smartly dressed in the company uniform who will be your 12 days driver-guide or a representative from us who will transport you to your hotel. You will be briefed on your trip and what to expect during your safari.

Track the shoebill birds at Mabamba and night in Kampala
Begin the day with a trip to Mabamba in search of shoebill. The shoebill is a popular species in Uganda, and Mabamba marsh is the best place to witness this prehistoric bird. We'll board a boat at Nakiwogo Pier and go to the swamp with a local guide to look for the bird. When we get back, we have lunch and then head to Kampala. We will have a short tour of the city's major sites before checking into our lodge/hotel in Kampala and preparing for the next day's excursion into the jungle.

Transfer to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary en-route to Murchison Falls NP
Depart from Kampala by 7am after our breakfast and drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. 178km from Kampala, we shall have a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is home to a population of 40+ southern white Rhinos. It is one of the most successful projects for rhino conservation in Africa. Rangers will take you on a walk to meet these giants on foot and at close.
From Ziwa, you shall continue with your drive to Murchison Falls National Park and arrive in a great time to visit and view the falls from the top. You will also do a walk on the Baker’s Trail to get a view of the Uhuru falls too. Then drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Game drive and Boat Tour to the Bottom of the falls
The morning is a great time to witness wildlife at the park. You will have an early breakfast and leave the lodge by 6:30am. The drive is a chance to raise your shot to the tick the big 5 with sightings of elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, other antelopes and also be in a zone that has the most of the Rothschild’s Giraffes. After the drive we drive to the lodge, have lunch and even you can take a dip at the pool.
In the afternoon, take on a cruise up stream on the legendary Nile River. The Nile is home to dense wildlife from Hippos, crocodiles, a dazzling number of water birds.

Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast and leave Murchison Falls for a Kibale National Park. The drive is about 6 hours but interesting and very scenic. It goes past different homesteads and towns, different viewpoints en-route. You have lunch along the way and arrive at the lodge in the afternoon. You can have a leisurely one at the lodge or choose to visit the community around the park and engage with the locals.

Chimpanzee habituation Experience
Chimpanzee habituation unlike chimpanzee tracking for a more 50 USD allows more time with the chimpanzees. As the others have an hour in the presence of these interesting primates, on the forest floor, you have more than hour to be in the forest with rangers and guides as you learn the process of making these primates used to human presence. And it’s not just chimpanzees, but you will be in a home of other 12 primate species other than chimpanzees and wonderful forest birds. After the experience, return to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon.

Early morning drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today begins with relaxed drive from Kibale. We start our drive by 7am. The drive is scenic with the incredible views of the Rwenzori ranges unfolding before you. Upon arrival at the park, you take a drive through the 27km stretch if craters some with lakes, some filled with forests and also visit the Katwe Salt Lake. At the lake, workers construct salt pans at the margins of the lake to intensify evaporation and concentrate salt. Then we drive to our lodge and check in for lunch. In the afternoon we relax at the lodge and prepare for an evening game drive that will also continue to the night (Night game drive).

Morning game drive and boat safari
After an early breakfast at the park, we shall go for a morning game drive at the Kasenyi plains, a famous are for game drives at the park. The network of tracks here will get us to the different wildlife at the park. In the afternoon, we embark on a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel for an opportunity to enjoy the stunning wildlife this come by the channel to drink on a hot day. Crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and a great array of bird life can be seen on the cruise. Return and head to Ishasha for night.

Game drive at Ishasha and head to Rwanda
Ishasha sector is the southernmost part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is on the flanks of Lake Edward and on a border to DR Congo. It is famous for the tree climbing lions we shall do a game drive in the area before we drive to Kisoro town when we shall have lunch. Kisoro town is a a beautiful town few hours from the border that goes to Volcanoes National Park and after our lunch we cross to Volcanoes National Park and have an overnight.

Gorilla Tracking and Ellen DeGeneres Campus Tour
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is a magical experience, transcending any other wildlife encounter we know. Meeting a gorilla family in their forest home, led by a dominant male silverback and a cluster of females and young, is a natural adventure that fully repays the cost in unforgettable memories and images.
Your driver-guide will operate your transfers to the park headquarters and introduce you to your trekking group and parks guide. After trekking have lunch and visit the Ellen De Génères Campus of Dian Fossey and learn about the history of gorilla conservation and its future.

Golden monkey tracking and Gorilla Guardians' Village Tour
Spend a morning trekking to find the golden monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park. These endangered monkeys are endemic to the Albertine Rift area and are characterized by their golden-orange fur. You’ll be able to enjoy an hour watching them jump through the bamboo and hunker down to chew bamboo leaves, curiously watching you, as you watch them.
Your driver-guide will operate your transfers to the park headquarters and introduce you to your trekking group and parks guide.
He will then introduce you to a group of people at the Gorilla Guardians Village for an insight into the culture and lifestyle of the people of Rwanda.

Drive to Kigali and as we end our safari
This is the last day and your exit day. But before you exit, you will have a short tour of Kigali to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum at Gisozi (Now a UNESCO heritage site), visit a local market and in the evening, your guide will drop you at the airport for a safe journey home.
