Coast to Tsavo East – Begin the Adventure

Coast to Tsavo East – Begin the Adventure

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your coastal hotel (Mombasa, Diani, or Watamu). After a scenic drive through the Kenyan countryside, you’ll arrive at Tsavo East National Park, one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya. Entering through the Bachuma or Sala Gate (depending on your departure point), you'll immediately begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp.

After check-in and lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the park’s vast open plains. Tsavo East is renowned for its red-dust elephants, man-eating lions, and the chance to spot animals like giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

The park’s arid terrain is dotted with iconic baobab trees and the seasonal Galana River, which often attracts animals to its banks.
