Day 1

Upon arrival, you will be received by the company representative who will welcome you and assist through customs before transfer to the hotel in Entebbe for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Depending on your level of fatigue, you may have a briefing or choose to have it the following morning as your embark on your safari.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After your delicious breakfast, you will meet your guide for a short briefing about your safari if you didn’t have it the previous day. Shortly, you will embark on your scenic journey to the South-western part of the country. You will come across fruit markets, scenery of different topographies and diverse cultures along your journey. You will arrive in Fort Portal, dubbed “the tourism city” for hot lunch. Your lunch will be followed by a short drive to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving for afternoon relaxation and overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Community Swamp

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Community Swamp

You will have your morning breakfast and drive to Kanyanchu Park headquarters in time for briefing. After briefing about the activity, you will be assigned a particular tracking group and game ranger. Shortly, you will enter the jungle with your ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on ground to easily locate the chimpanzees. Also keep your head out for beautiful forest birds and other forest species. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be given ample time to interact depending on their mood as the guide explains to you about their behaviour and that of the entire forest ecosystem. Later, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the Bigodi swamp walk and community experience. Among the activities to excite you here include local liquor making, weaving of baskets, cultural dances, and also paying a visit to the cultural doctor. You will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation and overnight.

Day 4

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your delectable breakfast, you will checkout and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Rwimi. The drive will take you through scenic views of some different crater lakes like Lake Nyinambuga, Kasenda and Kifurukwa, seen along the way. As you approach Kasese town, you will be able to have spectacular views of the mystical Rwenzori ranges during the slow drive. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park for check-in and hot lunch. Shortly, you will head out for an afternoon game drive with chances of seeing some wildlife species such as the African elephants, Uganda kobs among other species. You will later return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Game drive and boat cruise

Game drive and boat cruise

Wake up to an exciting day where you will explore the park. Have an early morning breakfast and head out for a spectacular game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will be exposed to species like African elephants, African Cape buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, leopards and lions. The park also boasts a record of over 600 bird species, most of which you will sight during the game drive. Return to the lodge for hot lunch and shortly take a thrilling boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The 42km Kazinga channel stretch which connects Lake George and Lake Edward will reward you with big herds of buffaloes, school of hippos, Nile crocodiles and different bird species like the rare African skimmers and Lesser Flamingos. After your thrilling cruise, you can choose to have a sundowner at one of the beautiful crater lakes or return to the lodge for evening relaxation and overnight.

Day 6

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast at leisure and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will drive via Ishasha sector for its tree climbing lions and multitude of other wildlife species. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and depending on your level of fatigue, you may choose to take a guided village walk with a visit to craft shops, local schools, hospital and other village projects or simply sit back and relax at the lodge as you rest for the next day’s experiential activity. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7

Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking

After an early morning breakfast, you will have your packed lunch ready then drive to the park headquarters for a short briefing before the gorilla trekking activity. You will then be assigned a group to track a particular gorilla family. You will be led into the jungle by the ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on ground in order to easily locate the mountain gorillas. The time taken to find the gorillas depends on the terrain and movement of these fascinating apes. On first sight of the apes, you may get an adrenalin rush however the thrill of spending ample time with and observing these gentle giants is a moving adventure and experience you can never be prepared enough for. You will watch them in their natural habitat playing, feeding, resting and going about their daily life, an experience that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
