Day 1

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Embark on your journey post breakfast, traversing the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Manyara National Park, where an entire day awaits for an immersive game drive. Despite its modest size of 205 square miles, this captivating park is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and a luxuriant acacia forest dominated by towering fig and mahogany trees, serving as the habitat for lively troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The park's diverse ecosystem is also home to a plethora of wildlife, including buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a Hippo lake, where sizable gatherings of hippos are a common sight. Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher's paradise, boasting over 400 different species, among them the distinctive Ground Hornbill and the majestic Crested Eagle. Notably, the park is celebrated for its tree-climbing lions and the striking presence of flamingos along the lake shore, offering splendid photo opportunities. As the day unfolds, return to the campsite for a delightful dinner.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast we will drive a little to the 8th natural wonder of the world - the Ngorongoro Crater. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains. Descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth. After a stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, drive up the steep road out of the crater.

Possibility for an afternoon walking safari in Ngorongoro highlands.

Evening transfer to Lake Eyasi. Overnight in a campsite. Upgrade to a tented camp or lodge upon request.
