Pick up from Lusaka Airport or your accommodation in Lusaka and transfer to your first stop in Kafue National Park, Mukambi Safari Lodge. The transfer takes around 4 hours, in the late afternoon you will enjoy your first sundowner on the Kafue River.
Overnight at Mukambi Safari Lodge in Luxury Safari Tents.

Day 2-3

Transfer to your next stop in the heart of Kafue National Park, Fig Tree Bushcamp. You will explore this are of Kafue National Park on game drives and game walks with an armed guide as well as night game drives (2 activities per day).

Immerse yourself in the vast beauty of true African wilderness. Fig Tree Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Shishamba River, an exciting short drive from its sister camp, Mukambi Lodge. The camp has an elephantine Fig Tree, hence the name, as its centre piece, hanging over the dining Boma.

Busanga Plains

Busanga Plains

This destination is definitely one of Zambia's Highlights - remote and wild and only accessible for a few months per year, Busanga Plains never fails to impress. Many pride of lions, even cheetas and leopards are commonly seen in this part of the park as well as herds or roan antelopes, lechwes, pukus, oribis, zebras and buffalos.

The Plains Camp consists of 4 fully furnished tents, each with an en-suite bathroom. Each tent can sleep 2 persons. The camp is located in the middle of the plains on an island and from your tent you have a perfect view on the plains and the marsh.
The tents are light, airy and spacious with large beds draped with mosquito nets.

You leave the Busanga Plains and drive back to the central area of Kafue National Park. This drive takes up to 6 hours depending on the animal sightings during the drive. You will spend your last afternoon and evening on the banks of the Kafue River
