Day 1

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, you will meet your professional driver-guide for a safari briefing. Depart northwards via Kampala towards Murchison Falls National Park, traveling through rural towns and picturesque countryside of Luweero and Masindi.
Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. After a thrilling rhino trekking experience, continue to Masindi for a hearty lunch.
Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, making a scenic stop at the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 45 meters below — a truly powerful sight!
Later, continue to your lodge. Overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 2

Start the day with a very early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive on the the Victoria and Albert tracks. This area boasts the highest concentration of wildlife in the park, with chances to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, and a variety of antelope species.
Following a leisurely lunch, embark on an unforgettable boat cruise along the Nile River towards the base of the falls. Watch hippos wallowing, crocodiles basking, and elephants coming down to drink.
Marvel at the sight and sound of the thunderous falls from below before returning to the lodge. Overnight Pakuba Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 3

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departing Murchison Falls for Kibale Forest National Park.
Today’s journey is scenic, passing through the western Rift Valley, lush sugarcane and tea plantations, traditional homesteads, and green countryside landscapes.
Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest in the late afternoon. Relax and prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee adventure. Overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge or similar.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale Forest visitor center for a briefing.
Then embark on a chimpanzee trekking expedition through the tropical rainforest. Accompanied by expert rangers and researchers, track the lively and noisy chimpanzees, observing their social interactions, feeding habits, and movements.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. Later, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse park famed for its varied wildlife and beautiful Kazinga Channel.
Depending on arrival time, you may opt for an optional sunset boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel (where hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and many bird species congregate). Overnight at Bush Lodge or similar.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions.
Look out for these unique predators lounging in the large fig trees, a behavior unique to only a few places in the world.
After the game drive, continue your journey southwards to the misty, dense jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Settle into your lodge, located close to the park entrance. Overnight at Bakiga Lodge or similar.

Day 6

Today is the highlight of your safari!
After an early breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette.
Groups are assigned and then you venture deep into the ancient, dense forest to track a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek can be strenuous and unpredictable (lasting from 2– 10hours), but the reward is overwhelming: spending a magical hour in the presence of the gentle giants, observing their interactions in the wild.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving to Lake Bunyonyi, known as “the Switzerland of Africa” for its breathtaking scenery and numerous small islands.
Spend the evening relaxing by the lakeshore. Overnight at Lake Arcadia Cottages Lake Bunyonyior similar.

Day 7

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the lake’s calm waters, you’ll check out and begin your cross-border drive to Kigali, Rwanda (approximately 4–5 hours depending on border crossing time).
Upon arrival in Kigali, your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight, depending on your schedule.
