You will then embark on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda’s famous primate capital and home to chimpanzees and diverse wildlife. The journey offers breathtaking views of rural Uganda, rolling hills, traditional villages, tea plantations, and lush green countryside, providing excellent opportunities for photography and cultural encounters along the way. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel through some of the country’s most beautiful regions. Upon arrival near Kibale National Park, you will check into your lodge located at the edge of the forest, surrounded by nature and stunning views. Today, enjoy an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world. The park is home to the highest diversity of primates in Africa, including wild chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, & more. Your adventure begins early in the morning with a briefing by experienced park rangers at 8:00 am about chimpanzee tracking rules and safety guidelines. You will then venture deep into the rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. As you walk through the lush forest, listen to the exciting calls of chimps echoing through the trees. Once located, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, groom, and interact. After lunch at the lodge, continue for the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk, a rich eco-tourism site famous for bird watching and primate viewing. Look out for the Great Blue Turaco and several monkey species in this scenic wetland paradise.

After breakfast, you will journey to the world-famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Your drive to the Rushaga sector takes approximately 5–6 hours and is filled with breathtaking scenery, rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and beautiful countryside views often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Along the way, you will stop in Kabale for lunch and enjoy a visit to the vibrant local market where you can interact with locals, explore fresh produce, handmade crafts, and experience authentic Ugandan culture. Continue through the scenic highlands to Bwindi Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for gorilla trekking, rich biodiversity, and tropical rainforest landscapes. Upon arrival at your lodge near the Rushaga gate, you will check in and relax while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and stunning forest surroundings as you prepare for the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the ranger station for a detailed briefing by experienced park guides about gorilla trekking rules, safety, and conservation efforts. You will then begin your trek through the dense tropical rainforest, navigating steep trails, valleys, and thick vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. The duration of the trek varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, making the experience even more adventurous and exciting. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one hour observing these gentle endangered giants in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and interact. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter is among Africa’s most extraordinary safari experiences. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Later, you may choose an optional cultural experience such as the Batwa community visit or a local coffee tour at an extra cost, or simply relax at the lodge while enjoying the peaceful forest atmosphere.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and begin your scenic journey back to Entebbe, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda primate and wildlife safari. Enjoy breathtaking views of Uganda’s rolling hills, rural landscapes, local villages, and lush countryside as you travel through the heart of the country. Along the way, you will make a memorable stop at the famous Uganda Equator for photography, souvenir shopping, and an opportunity to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time. This stop also offers a chance to enjoy local crafts, snacks, and cultural interactions before continuing the drive. Depending on your flight schedule, your professional guide from Naseeb Safaris will transfer you either to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or to a hotel of your choice in Entebbe.
