After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest. En route, you will visit the King's Palace in Nyanza and traditional Rwandan homes. Continuing your journey, a stop at the Ethnographic Museum in Butare will offer you a fascinating glimpse into the traditional Rwandan way of life.

Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

An early morning start with breakfast precedes your visit to the Park reception for a briefing before commencing the chimpanzee trekking adventure.
Nyungwe Forest is home to approximately 500 chimpanzees, with two habituated groups available for tracking. The trek offers the chance to encounter these fascinating primates as well as other forest residents such as colobus monkeys.
After the trek, enjoy lunch and then depart for Volcanoes National Park via the picturesque Kibuye, stopping to take in the breathtaking views of Lake Kivu.

After returning to the base, enjoy lunch and then have the option to relax or visit the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
