Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)
After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Zanzibar Airport for a flight to Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, you will proceed with a game drive in the wilderness, tracking the great migration trails.
Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most famous national park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and recently proclaimed the 7th Wonder of the World, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, where some 6 million hooves pound the open plains. Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in Africa, giving you an up-close look at the animals you've only seen in National Geographic - great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.

Game drive in Northern Serengeti (focusing on migration at Mara River)
After breakfast at the camp, depart with your picnic lunch for a game drive to view the great migration.
The resident wildlife numbers of Serengeti National Park are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lions up to 30 strong. However, the area turns into a wildlife paradise from August to October. The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please note that finding an actual crossing is difficult and sometimes a matter of luck.
