Transfer from Kigali in Rwanda to Rusizi District of Rwanda

After an early morning breakfast in Kigali, you will transfer to Rusizi District in Rwanda, near the Rwanda-Congo border post, where you will spend the night. A small town on the border with the DRC, with views across to the Congolese city of Bukavu. Rusizi is the closest town to Nyungwe National Park, which is about an hour’s drive away.

Cross to Bukavu Congo, Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park & Back to Rusizi

After an early morning breakfast, you will cross into Bukavu, DR Congo, and then transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park. This park in South Kivu is known for tracking habituated eastern lowland gorillas (Grauer’s gorillas). After the gorilla tracking experience, you will return to Rusizi.
