Start your day with a good breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, or after an early morning pickup from the airport. Our experienced tour guide will meet you and take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

The name “Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi” brings to mind the heart of Africa. Imagine steep mountains covered in thick, warm jungle, and you’ll have the right picture. This forest covers 331 square kilometers and is one of the oldest ecosystems in Africa. It has lasted through thousands of years, even surviving the Ice Age, when many other forests disappeared.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with a good breakfast to make sure you’re ready for the day ahead. Take your packed lunch and walk to the nearby park headquarters, just a short distance away. Here, you will get a full briefing, be placed in your gorilla group, and then begin your walk into the forest. The trek through Bwindi can take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorillas are.

When you find them, you will spend up to one hour watching and taking pictures. After the trek, enjoy your lunch and receive your official gorilla trekking certificate. Then, meet your guide and return to the lodge.

Transfer to Entebbe via Lake Mburo & End of Trip

Start your day with an early breakfast, then head to Lake Mburo National Park. Here, you will enjoy a short but interesting game drive before continuing your journey to Entebbe for your drop-off.

You will have about four hours to explore Lake Mburo, and you can have lunch during your visit. This marks the end of your trip.
