Our mid-range safari adventure begins with an airport pickup in Nairobi before we embark on a scenic drive northwest to Lake Nakuru National Park. Stopping for a gourmet lunch in Lake Elementaita along the way, we'll arrive at the park by midday for an exciting afternoon game drive exploring the lush landscapes surrounding the flamingo-lined lake. Highlights include sightings of white and black rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, leopards, and over 450 recorded bird species. As the golden hour light fades, we'll continue onto Lake Nakuru lodge, a luxurious 4-star resort and your home for the evening.

Lake Nakuru National Park-Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the lodge, Day 2 takes us on a morning birdwatching walking safari within the grounds, aiming to spot some of Lake Nakuru's highly diverse birdlife. Then we'll enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge before checking out and making our way southeast into the legendary Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We'll stop along the way for a tour of a traditional Maasai village to learn about local culture. In the late afternoon, we'll arrive at Loyk Luxury Camp, a breathtaking tented camp set alongside the Talek River which flows through the reserve. Settle in before indulging in a gourmet bush dinner under the stars.

The next two days will find us experiencing spectacular sunrise and sunset game drives into the protected Maasai Mara plains in customized 4x4 vehicles with expert safari guides. This wilderness is home to Kenya's greatest concentration of wildlife including the Big 5, iconic migration herds, and thriving lion prides. Our 4-star accommodation, the Loyk Mara Luxury Camp, features 30 luxury tents with ensuite bathrooms and showers, fine dining, an outdoor pool, and daily laundry service.

After breakfast, leave the campsite for the last game drive as you leave the park for Nairobi. You will carry lunch and served en-route. Arrive in Nairobi late in the afternoon. Drop off will be at the airport or your hotel to end the safari after an unforgettable mid-range safari getaway!
