Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with a good breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, or after an early pickup from the airport. Our friendly tour guide will be there to welcome you. A short but interesting city tour will give you a nice introduction before you begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Few names bring Africa to mind as clearly as the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi. Imagine steep mountains covered in thick, warm jungle, and you’ll have the right picture. This forest covers 331 square kilometers and is one of the oldest in Africa. It has survived for thousands of years, even during the Ice Age, when many other forests disappeared.

When you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed at the lodge. You can relax and enjoy the wide view of the forest all around you.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Back to Kigali

Start your day with a good breakfast to make sure you’re ready for the day ahead. Take your packed lunch and walk to the nearby park headquarters, just a short distance away. There, you will get a full briefing, be placed in your Gorilla trekking group, and then begin your walk into the forest. The trek through Bwindi can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorillas are.

Once you find them, you’ll have up to one hour to watch and take pictures of the gorillas. After the trek, enjoy your lunch and receive your official Gorilla trekking certificate. Then, meet your guide and drive back to Kigali, marking the end of your trip.
