Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Following a morning safari briefing, you will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park. This natural reserve showcases giant baobab trees, bush savannahs, and seasonal marshes, adding to its enchanting allure. Recognized as one of the premier destinations for observing elephants up close, the park is also home to buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests, closely trailed by various predators, including lions. While leopards are occasionally spotted, cheetah sightings are rare.

You'll have the opportunity to appreciate the landscape and observe wildlife from the open roof of the safari jeep. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and proceed to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a journey towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highland farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you'll enter the heart of wild Africa. The drive will lead you to the Seronera area, situated in the central park and renowned as one of the most abundant wildlife habitats in Serengeti.

Flowing through this region, the Seronera River serves as a crucial water source, drawing a diverse range of wildlife that represents most of the Serengeti's species. Arriving in time for a picnic lunch, you'll also enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.

Day 3

Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll embark on a game-viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which winds through the plains to the south of Seronera River. This area is known for potential sightings of lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. The Visitor Centre, located close to Serengeti Seronera Lodge, is a must-visit attraction following the morning's game drive.

In the afternoon, you'll follow the Kopjes Circuit, which circumnavigates the Maasai Kopjes in an anti-clockwise direction. These kopjes, or weathered granite outcrops, are scattered throughout the plains and serve as miniature ecosystems, providing shade and pools of drinking water after the rains. They're particularly advantageous for spotting wildlife during the dry season, including lions, which often lie in wait for prey approaching the watering holes.

Day 4

Ngorongoro crater

The morning portion of your day will be dedicated to further game drives in the Serengeti. Around noon, you will set out for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. While en route to the park gate, you will have another opportunity for game viewing before departing the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon, continuing your journey towards Ngorongoro.

Upon reaching the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the expansive caldera below. Your overnight stay will be at Fig Tree lodge & Camp.

Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, we will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its prominent feature, the eponymous lake, which attracts a multitude of waterbirds. The striking pink flamingos stand out as a particular highlight, but the park also hosts a diverse range of other bird species, including cormorants, pelicans, and storks, totaling around 400 different bird species. Additionally, the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, often sighted in the central and open areas.

Throughout the safari, you will have the opportunity to witness various other animals, such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. In the late afternoon, we will conclude our exploration of the national park and make our way back to Moshi or Kilimanjaro international airport.
