Drive to Amboseli National Park, nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro
Upon your arrival, meet your guide and ask any questions you may have. Then let's go out together and go on the safari you've been waiting for.
Amboseli may be smaller than many other Kenyan parks, but it packs a lot into a very small space. For starters, the views here are astonishing because Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), looms over the park to the south. Best of all, the mountain provides a backdrop to many fantastic wildlife sightings that almost always include elephants with big tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests and gazelles. Birders can also look for the park's 420 different recorded species.
Overnight stay at Kibo Safari Camp where you'll have some of the best Mt Kilimanjaro views anywhere in the region. The large safari tents have bucket loads of charm with hand-built wooden furniture and stone floors. Sit back, relax and enjoy the view from the swimming pool or restaurant.

Spend time in Lake Nakuru National Park
The time you spend in Lake Nakuru National Park is sure to be memorable. The park is most famous (and rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white rhinos here, as well as the populations of lions (including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You've also a chance of seeing flamingos, leopards and plenty of birds. You might also fall in love with the pretty combination of lake, acacia forest and dramatic escarpment.
You'll stay in a corner of Lake Nakuru National Park which Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge has all to itself. The views from just about anywhere in the lodge are the best in the park, and the rooms are large, lovely and filled with light. The facilities are first-rate, from the swimming pool to the bar and restaurant. But it's the location that really sets this place apart.

Marks the beginning of your Masai Mara safari
After breakfast, depart to Masai Mara arriving in time for check in and lunch at the Loyk Mara Camp. One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. And bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.
Stay in terrific Loyk Mara Camp, just outside the Masai Mara National Reserve and next to the Ntiakitiak River. It's a wonderful location for seeing wildlife, and the slightly elevated safari tents have good views, as well as wood floors and safari-themed decor. The camp also has a swimming pool, a fine-dining restaurant and a bar.
