Day 1

Arusha - Ngorongoro

Arusha - Ngorongoro

After breakfast at 6:00 am, we will drive to the Ngorongoro gate. We will stop at the viewpoint to take pictures of the most fantastic place on earth, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, before proceeding to the crater. We will drive down to the crater floor, where you will do a full-day game drive and explore the floor of the crater. You will have enough time to see many cats, such as lions, hyenas, and others.

Enjoy lunch at a designated picnic site near a hippo pool. Afterwards, continue with the game drive. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds. With some luck, the "Big Five" can be spotted during a single game drive.

The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. The reclusive African leopard is commonly seen in the Seronera region but is present throughout the national park.

Day 3

Serengeti migration

Serengeti migration

After breakfast at the camp, depart with your picnic lunch for a game drive and to view the great migration in the Serengeti National Park.

Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lions often up to 30 strong. From August to October, the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please note that finding a crossing is very difficult and sometimes a matter of luck.

Northern Serengeti National Park

Day 4

Serengeti migration

Serengeti migration

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game driving at the Mara River to view the great migration river crossing. In the evening, return to the camp for a bonfire, dinner, and overnight.

Enjoy the river crossings at Kogatende as the mega herds settle into the area. Game viewing here is superb from August to October, with river crossings guaranteed daily. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth across the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses. It is common to see different herds crossing in different directions on the same day.
