Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kigali by our professional driver-guide. After a warm welcome and short briefing, we head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving and educational site that honors the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. As you walk through the exhibits and serene gardens, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s tragic past, its remarkable recovery, and its enduring message of peace and reconciliation.
After the visit, we begin our scenic drive northwards to Musanze, the gateway to the famous Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Rwanda’s “Land of a Thousand Hills” — a breathtaking landscape of rolling green hills, terraced farms, and vibrant rural life.
Upon arrival in Musanze, check into your lodge and unwind for the evening. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, set out for a thrilling Golden Monkey Trek in Volcanoes National Park. These rare and energetic primates, found only in the Virunga Mountains, live in large groups and are fascinating to observe as they leap through the bamboo forest. The experience offers fantastic photography opportunities and insights into their unique behavior and habitat.
After the trek, proceed to the nearby Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Explore interactive exhibits and learn about Dian Fossey’s pioneering conservation work, which continues to play a vital role in protecting mountain gorillas.
Later, embark on a scenic drive northward, crossing into Uganda and heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Known for its rich biodiversity and mountain gorilla population, Bwindi offers a different landscape and atmosphere. Arrive in the evening and settle into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. After a briefing by park rangers, venture into the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, but the reward is unforgettable — spending an awe-inspiring hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
After the trek, enjoy a packed lunch before beginning your scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful and tranquil lakes, dotted with 29 islands and surrounded by terraced hills.
Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to your lakeside lodge. As the day winds down, unwind with a peaceful sundowner cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, taking in the golden hues of sunset over the water — a perfect end to a magical day.
