½-Day Vulture Experience and Baobab Tree Safari, 2 Hours

We start with a safari around historic landmarks in Victoria Falls and continue our safari through the bush, search for animals and stop at a panoramic view point of the gorge and the Zambezi river.

After a short bush walk down a dirt pathway through bush, there’s a “hide out” – a viewing deck with benches on which to sit, covered by a canopy of branches for shade.
You first get a briefing on the plight of the endangered birds.
Then the vulture guide hauls out a sack with heads, feet and leftovers of beef, chickens, warthogs – to a red dirt patch.
The vultures, which for the previous hour have been flying in from miles around and gathering on nearby trees, suddenly swoop in.
It’s quite a sight to watch them tearing into the bloody pieces!
You can even hear the whoosh whoosh of their big wings flapping, they have wing spans of three feet. After the feeding is over and the vultures head back into the wild, we will look for more wildlife and bring you back to the point of origin.
