Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your tour starts with a pick-up at 7:30 am from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and a drive to Masai Mara. This drive will take 5 to 6.5 hours, with a scenic stopover at the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Masai Mara shortly after noon, check into your lodge or camp, have a hot lunch, and then depart for an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, we head back to the lodge or camp to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner before retiring for the night.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Today's itinerary is flexible. You can discuss it the previous evening with your guide and plan for today's schedule. You can have a relaxed breakfast, depart for full-day game drives around 9:00 am with a packed lunch, and return to the lodge at around 6:00 pm. Otherwise, you can leave at 6:00 and go on an early morning game drive (this is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness a hunt). Later, return to your accommodation for breakfast, relax, and depart on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. You will stop at a picnic spot for a packed lunch and continue the game drive until the park closes. At around 6:00 pm, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Mara to Lake Elementaita

At around 9:00 am, after a relaxed, sumptuous breakfast, check out and depart to Lake Elementaita, a drive of about 5 hours. You will arrive for a late lunch. You have an optional stop to do a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and a Crater Island walk. Upon reaching the lodge, check in, have dinner and relax for the rest of the day at the Sentrim Elementaita Camp.

Lake Nakuru National Park

At around 08:00 am, after a relaxed breakfast, check out and depart for the 1-hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a packed lunch. Go on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is a bird sanctuary and is famous for its flamingoes, the Big Five, the plains game, and the endangered white and black rhinos. Late afternoon, drive back to your camp.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Amboseli, a drive of about 7 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, have lunch, and start your afternoon safari in Amboseli. You can do game drives until about 6:00 pm before returning to your camp or lodge for a freshly prepared dinner and an overnight stay.

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive around 7:00 am and continue until approximately 10:30 am. Return to the camp to relax and have lunch. Then, at around 3:00 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive for 3 hours and return to the camp before 6:30 pm.

Since Amboseli is relatively hot, game drives around noon are not usually recommended but can be arranged if you are interested.
