This is a thrilling adventure that combines the unforgettable experience of tracking mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a wildlife safari in the majestic Murchison Falls. Below is an itinerary for this exciting safari.
You will wake up to a delicious morning breakfast at your hotel in Kigali City or be picked from Kigali Airport upon arrival and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. You will enjoy your 4 hour drive punctuated with rolling hills and scenic landscapes, you will arrive and check in at Rushaga Gorilla Camp in Rushaga Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable for lunch. Thereafter you will enjoy a chilly evening at the hotel waiting on tomorrow's main activity.

Day 2

After your early breakfast together with packed lunch, the guide will transfer you to the starting point where you will receive a briefing from the park ranger on how to prepare for the gorilla trek. Your ranger guide will lead the way in the forest first on well cleared paths but soon you get off to the bushes and thickets. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering a unique opportunity to connect with our closest cousins living in the wild. The experience of hiking through the forest itself is rewarding even before you see the gorillas.
During the trek, you'll not only witness the Mountain Gorillas, but you'll also encounter a variety of other wildlife, including rare birds and diverse plant species. The trek can be physically demanding, but the reward of observing Gorillas up close—watching them interact, play, and forage—creates a profound connection to nature and leaves you with lasting memories.

Day 3
Transfer to Fort Portal
Transfer to Fort Portal
Early in the morning you will have your breakfast and your safari guide will be ready to transfer you to Fort Portal City. Today, you may not have a lot to do on this most scenic journey, you will be admiring the intriguing sceneries of savanna vegetation, Forests and lakes along the drive. The journey takes you through Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park renowned destination for tree climbing lions, if you’re lucky, you may spot them relaxing in tree branches.
We will stop for lunch break and some relaxation at the hotel in Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). Afterward, we have the option to enjoy a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which is a popular gathering spot for various wildlife in the park. Alternatively, we can opt for an afternoon game drive in QENP to explore its diverse wildlife, including buffalo, lions, leopards, and elephants. Thereafter, we will embark on a 1 hour and 30 minute drive to our hotel in Fort Portal Town for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, we will begin our journey to Murchison Falls National Park. We will stop in Hoima Town for a lunch break at a local restaurant that offers both local and international dishes. After lunch, we will continue our drive directly to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon entering the park, we will take a short drive to the top of the falls, where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Here, the water rushes through a 7-meter-wide gorge and plunges down at high speed, creating a thunderous sound.
Afterwards. we will enjoy our first game on our way to the hotel during which we will encounter a variety of wildlife such as buffaloes, Giraffes, Elephants, Jackson hartebeest and kobs.

Day 5

Today you will wake up very early for a cup of tea or coffee with snacks before we drive to the park for the morning game drive starting from 6: 30am. In the early morning hours animals are the most active, the sun is not yet so bright and temperatures are cooler. During this 4-5 hour game viewing session, expect to encounter African savanna animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes and many tropical birds. So keep your eyes open!
After the morning drive, we will have enjoyed game viewing to the maximum, we will then return to the hotel for late breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon we will enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. You will be watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts, you will reach the base of the 43-meter high Falls which approach with a thunderous sound. Thereafter, you can opt for a one more game drive.

Day 6
Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala

After an early breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and depart for chimp trekking in Budongo Forest. Located along the road exiting the park, Budongo Forest provides an opportunity to see chimpanzees on your way back to Kampala, allowing you to enjoy this experience without needing to stay for another day. The forest has 6 groups of chimpanzees and tracking starts at 8:00 am as you are led by a ranger guide to look for these amazing primates that share a DNA of about 98% with human beings.
During the tracking, you will also see various animal species such as monkeys and many birds, as well as tree species like mahogany. After spending an hour observing chimps, we will continue our journey to Kampala and Entebbe Airport for your flight or an overnight stay depending on your flight schedules.
