Tarangire National Park

Your experience with Njiro Legacy begins in Arusha, where most guests arrive the day before and enjoy a complimentary pre-safari night at Njiro Legacy Hotel, giving you time to rest and adjust. After an early breakfast, you depart in a pop-up roof 4x4 towards Tarangire National Park, known for its vast savannahs, ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. You spend the day on game drives in search of elephants, lions, giraffes and other wildlife, with a picnic lunch enjoyed inside the park. In the late afternoon you continue to your comfortable lodge in Karatu, where you can relax, have dinner and prepare for the next day’s adventure in Ngorongoro.

The Great Ngorongoro Crater

Your second day takes you into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its remarkable concentration of wildlife. Descend 600 metres into this natural amphitheatre and explore diverse habitats teeming with lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. After a full day on the crater floor, return to Arusha where the tour concludes, After your game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, you will ascend the rim and begin your drive back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off at your preferred location in Arusha or at the airport. Additional accommodation after the tour can be arranged on request.
