The park is The northern section of the park contains savanna and Borassus palms, acacia trees, and riverine woodland. The south is dominated by woodland and forest patches. On your second day, a game-searching safari starts quite early, returning to the lodge a little later for a hearty breakfast. Depending on the lodging location, you might need to cross with the ferry to do the game drive which will allow you to see elephants, antelopes, giraffes, lion prides, and buffalo herds. For birder lovers, the secretary bird and black-chested snake eagle inhabit this park, though are elusive.

In the afternoon take part in the River Nile boat cruise which goes right to the base of the falls. During the cruise, a lot of hippos and elephants can be seen by the shoreline. There are also bird varieties to be seen like bee-eaters (carmine, little, red-throated, and swallow-tailed), kingfishers, black-crowned night heron, red-necked falcons, harrier hawks, brown snake eagles, fish eagles. You have an option to disembark and hike to the top of the falls. The hike is fairly easy and the view from the top is well worth every effort.
