Day 1

Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. Enjoy a beautiful drive through the hills of Rwanda and across the border into Uganda via the Katuna border. Arrive at Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon, check in to your lodge, have lunch and relax. After lunch, you will take a boat ride for island tour where you will explore the 29 historic Islands of this Lake.

Optional activity:
The lake is also safe for swimming! So you can choose to go swimming.

Day 2

Gorilla trekking Experience

Today morning after an early breakfast together with packed lunch, your driver guide will transfer you to the briefing centre where you will receive a briefing from the park ranger on how to prepare for the gorilla trek. Your ranger will then lead the way into the jungle

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park is a rewarding experience which takes you through the thick impenetrable forest in search of gorillas. The experience hiking through the forest is rewarding even before you see the gorillas and trekking normally takes 2-8 hours depending on their location. Once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour in their presence. This intimate encounter allows for observation of the gorilla's behavior, social interactions and their natural habitat. In the afternoon, relax at your lodge or opt for a community visit to learn about the Batwa people, traditional medicine, and local crafts.

Day 3

After your breakfast your guide will pick you and you start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park – the most famous park in Uganda.
The drive will take you through Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. It is famous with the tree climbing lions which are said to climb fig trees after their meals to rest, fleeing from biting insects but to also easily watch their prey because of the high savanna grass.

There are many theories as to why they climb the trees, you will learn more from your tour guide as you do game drive. On a lucky day you may spot these giants resting up in trees and later, proceed to the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to numerous flora and fauna. The great scenery of ridges, forest and crater lakes with the Rwenzori Mountains in the background make for a great game drive. Most game drives are conducted early in the morning when wildlife is most active and before they go back into hiding.

You will drive through the park early in the morning which offers the best chances of encountering a variety of animals including predators on the hunt or herds of grazing herbivores. Enjoy the incredible species which include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, and Uganda Kobs etc.

In the afternoon enjoy a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel – towards Lake Edward where you will watch different wild animals that come to quench thirst and those that live therein and numerous species of birds.

On this day, you will enjoy all the morning hours for yourself, you will relax and freshen from the fatigue you experienced in the previous days while chilling on the poolside.

later in the afternoon, you head for Queen Elizabeth crater lakes exploration. These magnificent lakes were formed by volcanic activity and are scattered throughout the park, offering visitors the opportunity to explore their scenic beauty and tranquil surroundings, birdwatching opportunities and nature walks.

After when you have seen most of the appealing wildlife during the previous activities such as game drive, boat cruise and Gorilla experience, you will now embark on the a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park for a new adventure;
Chimpanzee trekking. Arrive at the Hotel in the evening and check in for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, you will head for briefing from the Kibale National Park offices about the rules and regulations while tracking chimpanzee. After the briefing, Begin your chimpanzee trekking adventure with a professional guide and a ranger exploring lush rainforest in search of primates.

Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park takes between 2 to 5 hours depending on their movements. They are also more mobile and might require you to follow them for a long time before they settle down to allow good photography. Once they are settled, you will spend an hour observing them learning their behaviors and interactions. Thereafter you will return to your hotel for lunch and rest.

Later in the evening, you will go for a canopy walk in the nearby Bigodi wetland sanctuary to spot other primates and several species of birds.

Have breakfast and then start the journey to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara City. You will arrive at the accommodation in Lake Mburo in time for lunch and spend the afternoon/evening admiring and enjoying the tranquility of nature at the accommodation.

At 7:00 pm, you will head out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive. During the game drive, expect to see nocturnal creatures including jackals, hyenas, owls and the elusive leopards among others.

After your breakfast, check out and embark on your return journey to Entebbe Airport for your outbound departure. Remember to make a stop at the Uganda Equator line mark for some memorable photos while on your safari in the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, proceed to Entebbe Airport where your driver-guide will gladly drop you off.
