Arusha to Serengeti National Park

You will fly from the airport to Serengeti National Park, where your professional driver-guide will meet you. From there, you will begin your safari with a game drive through the Serengeti, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and watching for wildlife along the way.

The Serengeti is known for its vast plains, diverse wildlife, and the Great Migration, which takes place seasonally. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and many other wildlife species. In the evening you will be transferred to your lodge for meals and overnight.

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive across the Serengeti plains. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, gazelles, crocodiles, and many other species.

You will spend the day exploring different areas of the park, with opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat and enjoy the diverse landscapes of the Serengeti. Lunch will be enjoyed during the day before continuing with the game drive in the afternoon.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will leave the Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you will visit a Maasai village and learn about the Maasai people's traditional way of life, culture, and customs.

You will then continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Tanzania’s well-known wildlife areas. You will descend into the crater for a game drive, where you may see elephants, black rhinos, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and many bird species.

Later in the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and continue to Karatu, where you will check in at your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Visit Hadzabe and Datoga tribe - Depature

Early in the morning, you will visit the shores of Lake Eyasi, where you will meet two of Tanzania’s indigenous communities, the Hadzabe and Datoga.

The Hadzabe are traditionally hunter-gatherers, and during the visit, you will have the opportunity to learn about their daily activities, including hunting, gathering, and other aspects of their traditional way of life.

You will also meet the Datoga, who are known for their traditional blacksmithing skills and pastoral lifestyle. You will have the opportunity to observe their metalworking techniques and learn more about their culture and traditions.

After the visit, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge before beginning your journey back to Arusha for your departure.
