Your safari adventure begins with a flight from dar es salaam to Arusha Airport, where a Revelation African Safaris representative will be waiting to warmly welcome you. From there, you'll be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha to relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to unwind or explore the vibrant city. As the gateway to Tanzania's renowned Northern Safari Circuit, Arusha is the perfect starting point for an unforgettable wildlife adventure through some of Africa's most spectacular national parks.

Day 2

Tarangire national park

Tarangire national park

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your accommodation and travel to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours on paved roads. Famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire is one of Tanzania's most rewarding wildlife destinations. The Tarangire River, the park's lifeline, attracts a remarkable variety of animals during the dry season, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and antelopes, while lions and leopards are often seen nearby. The park is also home to over 500 bird species, making it a haven for bird enthusiasts. After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach the crater rim, enjoy breathtaking views of one of Africa's most remarkable natural wonders. Formed over two million years ago by the collapse of a massive volcano, the 260 km² crater shelters a rich ecosystem of open grasslands, acacia woodlands, lakes, and wetlands. Descend to the crater floor for an exciting game drive, where you may encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions, hyenas, and over 500 bird species. The crater also offers one of the best chances to spot the endangered black rhino in its natural habitat. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue your wildlife viewing before returning to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Lake manyara national park

Lake manyara national park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located approximately 120 km from Arusha. Though compact, the park is celebrated for its remarkable diversity of habitats, from lush groundwater forests to open grasslands and the seasonal alkaline lake. Framed by the dramatic Great Rift Valley Escarpment, it is home to elephants, baboons, giraffes, hippos, and an abundance of wildlife. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions and more than 500 bird species, including thousands of flamingos when conditions are favorable.

Enjoy a scenic game drive with a picnic lunch before continuing your wildlife viewing. In the afternoon, you'll drive to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you can continue your beach holiday or onward travel arrangements.
