Inside the crater, the climate is perfect for animals with water available all year round and cooler temperatures than the surrounding savannah. Ngorongoro Crater is your best chance to see rhinos, and you may also see lions, hyenas, elephants, hippos, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebras, and many kinds of birds and monkeys.
