Day 2

Following an early breakfast, we embark on our journey to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Named after the Tarangire River, which sustains life in the region during the dry season, this park is often called the 'river of warthogs.' The terrain is characterized by pockets of dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, which can often be seen gathering near the river. Additionally, the park is home to a variety of other wildlife, such as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, attracting predators like lions and leopards.

Moreover, Tarangire boasts an impressive diversity of breeding bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

After enjoying a packed lunch, we will head to our accommodation at Eileen's Tree Inn or a similar lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, we begin our journey to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder that transports you to a bygone era. Here, you'll have the rare opportunity to witness the endangered black rhino and thriving prides of lions in their natural habitat.

Formed millions of years ago by a colossal volcanic eruption followed by its implosion, the crater's dramatic landscape is a sight to behold. As we descend into the crater, you'll be surrounded by a plethora of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. This unique environment provides the perfect setting to spot the elusive black rhino, occasionally spotted in the open grasslands.

After enjoying a packed lunch amidst the stunning scenery, we continue our journey to Serengeti National Park. Here, you'll spend the night at Serengeti wild camp, where you can indulge in a delicious dinner and settle in for a comfortable night's rest.

Day 4

Serengeti - Karatu

Serengeti - Karatu

After an early breakfast, our game viewing drive begins at around 6:30 am, allowing us ample time—approximately 6 to 7 hours—to explore the magnificent Serengeti National Park.

As we traverse the park's vast landscapes, you'll have the opportunity to encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo.

By around 2:00 pm, we return to Karatu, where our carefully selected mid-range lodge awaits. Here, you can indulge in a delicious dinner at the well-appointed restaurant, or choose to relax by the pool at your leisure.

After dinner, unwind with a post-dinner drink by the fire beneath the expansive African sky, before retiring to your spacious accommodations for a night of comfort and dreams, perhaps filled with visions of wild cats. Your overnight stay will be at Eileen's Tree Inn.

Following a satisfying breakfast, your day unfolds with a thrilling crater tour, guided by our experienced and knowledgeable guide. Ngorongoro Crater, a jewel in Tanzania's national parks, is renowned for its rich wildlife, offering a high probability of encountering the famed "Big Five" animals.

As you navigate the crater's diverse terrain, lion, buffalo, and elephant sightings are nearly guaranteed, adding an exciting dimension to your safari experience. While spotting a rhino is relatively likely, the elusive leopard may present a more intriguing challenge. Amidst the natural wonders, you'll also have the chance to observe numerous zebra, wildebeest, and the cunning spotted hyenas.
After enjoying a packed lunch, we return to Arusha.
