Day 1

You'll be picked up from your hotel at 7:00 am then drive north to Samburu where the climate is drier and the land is semi-desert arriving in time for lunch at the camp. You'll spend the next two days exploring the Samburu Game Reserve. Keep your camera and binoculars ready, as the wildlife is plentiful. See the thin-striped Gravy’s Zebra, reticulated Giraffe, blue-necked Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx, all species only found north of the equator. The long-necked gerenuk, a graceful antelope, spends most of its time here in a bi-pedal stance seeking succulent leaves.

Day 2

You'll have a full day spent in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game-viewing drives in this reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species — the reticulated giraffe. This is also our best chance to see the blue-legged Somali ostrich, the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, and the straight-horned Beisa oryx antelopes.

Day 3

Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will have your early morning breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is often referred to as the pink lake due to its enormous number of flamingos. The lake is host to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more. There shall be guaranteed encounters with the endangered black and white rhino species. Lunch is served at the camp or hotel followed by an afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will drive south to Amboseli National Park, right on the border with Tanzania arriving in time for lunch at 1 pm. This park affords everyone’s classic image of East Africa — herds of great animals moving across the dusty plains with the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising straight up in the background. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain at 19,340 feet (5,895 meters). Although it is situated inside Tanzania, the best views of the mountain are from Amboseli on the Kenyan side of the border. The afternoon will be spent game viewing in the majestic Amboseli.

Day 5

You will start the day with an early morning game drive, as the animals are most active during the cooler hours. You'll spot a variety of wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species, all while enjoying the spectacular scenery. Optional activities like a guided nature walk or a visit to the local Maasai community can be arranged. You will return to your lodge for a leisurely lunch and some downtime to relax and take in the tranquility of the surroundings. In the afternoon, you will head out for another game drive, exploring different areas of Amboseli and discovering hidden gems. As the sun sets, you will witness the breathtaking hues of the sky and listen to the sounds of the African wilderness. You'll enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars, accompanied by the distant calls of wildlife.

Day 6

Amboseli to Tsavo East National Park

Amboseli to Tsavo East National Park

You'll have an early morning breakfast and after breakfast depart to Tsavo East National Park, a 5 hours drive to the main gate. Tsavo East is renowned for its large numbers of red elephants and the famous man-eaters and lions. Then, you will proceed to the lodge/camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you'll have another game drive from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All meals and overnight stay in the lodge.

Tsavo East to Mombasa or Diani

You'll have an early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast, you'll check out of the park having game viewing on the way, and drive to Mombasa/Diani Beach, a 3-hour drive, arriving around lunchtime. Then, you'll be dropped off at North Coast Mombasa or South Coast hotels.
