2 travelers on Start dateArusha To Tarangire National Park
This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The transit travel takes around two and a half hours on well-paved roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River that runs through it. During the dry season, this 'river of warthogs' provides the only source of water for wildlife in the vicinity. The park is well-known for its elephant families, who can often be seen congregating along the river. You might also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Lions and leopards are among the predators that closely track these mammals. Tarangire boasts the largest concentration of breeding bird species on the planet! Large, ancient Baobab trees can be seen here.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll go to Ngorongoro Crater, potentially seeing additional wonders along the route!
Ngorongoro Crater: Beyond the sheer volcanic cliffs is a natural habitat with vast savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and dazzling lakes and marshes. Two to three million years ago, a large volcano erupted and collapsed on itself, forming the Crater.
The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in and of itself, and once on the Crater floor, you'll be surrounded by thousands of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The Crater provides the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be spotted in the vast grasslands.

Lake Manyara National Park
You will be heading to Lake Manyara National Park this morning. Your last stop on this wonderful safari! Manyara is a small yet diverse park 120 kilometres west of Arusha. Everything here is on a different scale. It is both small (one of Africa's narrowest parks) and enormous (the Great Rift Escarpment rises over Lake Manyara's western border). The park is named after a tiny salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons while providing habitat for thousands of wading birds. The park's evergreen woodland is home to baboons, elephants, and famed African tree-climbing lions.
After that, drive back to Arusha for departure or an additional stay.
