Day 1

We’ll begin our safari with a drive to Samburu National Reserve, which is in the Rift Valley region of Samburu County, Kenya. This reserve features a variety of animals only found in the northern part of the country, including Grevy's zebra, the gerenuk, Somali ostriches, reticulated giraffes, and the Beisa oryx. The “Big Five” (lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants) can also be found here.

You'll have the opportunity to spend two nights in this remarkable reserve. Each day you’ll go on morning and evening game drives. On the first day, you'll go on an evening game drive that starts at 4:00pm and concludes at 6:30pm. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2

Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

On the second day you will wake up early and have a cup of coffee or tea with some snacks. You will get to experience game drive enroute to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. You will arrive in good time for the morning feeding session. Your visiting hours will coincide with the elephants’ feeding times.

Reteti is a Samburu community owned and managed elephant sanctuary dedicated to conserving wildlife and their environment through rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing elephants within their home range.
After the visit you will have your breakfast beneath the elephant rock and head back to your lodge for lunch and early afternoon leisurely at the pool.

You will embark in the afternoon safari starting 1600hrs along the Ewaso Ngiro river returning back to the lodge as the sun sets down behind the African golden horizons.

Day 3

Samburu to Nairobi

Samburu to Nairobi

Sunrise safari at 0630hrs and you return back to the lodge for breakfast. You will pack your luggage and depart back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon where you will be transferred either to your hotel or to the airport.
