Depart from Dar es Salaam at 6:00 AM for a scenic drive to Lushoto in the West Usambara Mountains. Arrive in the early afternoon and enjoy a delicious lunch upon arrival. In the afternoon, take a guided walk or drive to the famous Irente Viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. Visit Irente Farm, known for its fresh produce, fruits, and vegetables. Dinner and overnight stay in Lushoto.

Day 2

Explore Lushoto
Breakfast followed by walking to the Magamba rainforest, visit an old stanch dug by the German during World War 1, the guide will provide an explanation of German and British Colonial history. Proceed on walking thru the rainforest of Magamba via Lukozi village to Malindi village, later enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

After exploring the cool highlands and lush greenery of Lushoto in the Usambara Mountains, your journey continues to Saadani National Park—East Africa’s only wildlife park bordering the ocean. The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours, passing scenic countryside, vibrant villages, and coastal landscapes. This transition from mountain to sea highlights the rich diversity of Tanzania’s geography. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch. Later, relax or embark on a game drive or boat safari along the Wami River. Saadani offers a rare blend of bush and beach—where elephants and giraffes may be seen near the Indian Ocean.

Day 4

After enjoying the unique beach-and-bush experience of Saadani National Park, your journey continues south along the Tanzanian coast to the historic town of Bagamoyo. The drive takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on road conditions and tides, as part of the route may follow the coastal track.
Along the way, enjoy views of the Indian Ocean, coastal forests, and fishing villages, offering glimpses into local Swahili culture. Upon arrival in Bagamoyo—a UNESCO World Heritage candidate—you'll step into one of Tanzania’s most culturally rich destinations, once a center of trade, missionaries, and the slave route. Spend the afternoon exploring its old town, museums, and beaches.
