Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a Glamping Africa Tours representative will greet you and transfer you to Wilson airport for your scheduled, 1.5-hour flight to Samburu. On arrival, our driver-guide will meet you and drive you to the lodge for rest and some lunch. Later, embark on an afternoon game drive in the Kalama Conservancy, exploring over 200,000 acres of pristine wilderness in total privacy and enjoying sundowners with a breathtaking view.

Day 2

Today you’ll experience an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve to seek out the “Samburu Special Five” – iconic, rare, and endemic species found only in northern Kenya – along with familiar animals like elephants. Enjoy a picnic lunch before relaxing at the lodge for the afternoon. Later, embark on a private sundowner drive for just the two of you, complete with a gift of champagne on ice to savor on a hilltop, overlooking the vast wilderness as the sun sets behind the mountains. Your day concludes with a romantic lantern-lit dinner on your private verandah beneath a starlit sky.

Day 3

Continue your exploration of Samburu with a morning game drive, followed by a nature walk after lunch. Led by your skilled and knowledgeable Samburu guide, you’ll discover the wildlife, plants, and ancient rock paintings in nearby caves.

Upon returning to the lodge, unwind with a complimentary half-hour back and neck massage at the Samburu Wellbeing Space.

In the evening, embark on a game drive in Kalama Conservancy, the 200,000-acre private wildlife conservancy surrounding Saruni Samburu. Conclude the drive with a bush dinner under the stars and a night drive back to the lodge, accompanied by traditional Samburu singing and dancing.

Depart Samburu in the morning on a scheduled, 1.5-hour flight to the Masai Mara, where you will be greeted on arrival by your driver-guide. Begin your Mara adventure with a game drive and a picnic lunch under an acacia tree or by the river, where you might spot a pod of hippos. Alternatively, head to either Saruni Mara or Saruni Wild for some relaxation before an exclusive afternoon game drive in the Mara North Conservancy. This vast area of over 30,000 acres features abundant wildlife and is a secluded corner of the Mara ecosystem, providing a private and unique safari experience.

Embark on an early morning game drive to look for the renowned big cats and other predators of the Mara, returning to the camp or lodge for lunch and treatments at the Maasai Wellbeing Space. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive or some extended downtime at the camp or lodge, followed by dinner and then an optional night game drive in search of nocturnal creatures.

Day 7

Visit the rhino sanctuary on your way to the airstrip and once again admire the hippos and crocodiles of the Mara River. Your flight back to Nairobi leaves the Mara at 11:00am and arrives in Nairobi at 12:20pm. You will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, with the option of dinner at either the Talisman or Carnivore (cost not included). Bookings will be dependent on your flight times.
