Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

On day one of your safari to the Masai Mara National Reserve, you will be picked up at 6:00am from the airport, hotel, or apartment within Nairobi city for a 5-hour road trip to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Along the route, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. From there, head straight to Narok Town, where we will stop for a few minutes for last-minute shopping and a bathroom break.

On arrival at Masai Mara, we check in at the camp. You will have time to enjoy lunch, relax, and head out for an afternoon game drive from 3:30pm. The game drive will end around 6:30pm when you return to the camp for dinner and a night's rest.

Masai Mara National Reserve

On the second day, you will start with an early breakfast and head to the reserve to look for wildlife and the elusive Big Five of the Masai Mara, such as leopards, cheetahs, and rhinos. You will have covered a lot of ground by the time the sun gets hot, which will be the ideal time to enjoy a picnic lunch. Masai Mara is home to lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, hippos, zebras, leopards, gazelles, hyenas, and different bird species.

An afternoon game drive is ideal for climaxing your game viewing across the expansive reserve. Return to the camp, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Other optional activities at extra costs include walking safaris, trekking, hiking, Masai village visits, hot air balloon safaris, and photography safaris, all through the eyes of the Masai.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

On the third day, enjoy your breakfast before starting the road trip to Nairobi with a lunch break in Narok Town (optional). The approximate arrival time in Nairobi is 4:00pm. We will drop you off at the airport, home, or hotel. This marks the end of your 3-day safari to magical Kenya.
