Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. Today, you'll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive to the park takes approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This river, often referred to as the 'river of warthogs,' serves as the primary water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is renowned for its large elephant families, frequently spotted gathering near the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by various predators, including lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts a remarkable diversity of bird species, with more breeding varieties found here than anywhere else on Earth.

You'll enjoy lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. Following your game drive, you'll proceed to your campsite near Karatu.

Day 3

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll start your journey towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, there will be an opportunity to stop and admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing through the conservation area, you'll transit to the Serengeti, entering from the southern part of the park.

The Serengeti is renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes, characterized by vast open grasslands that provide ideal settings for wildlife sightings. While it hosts a plethora of wildlife, its most famous attraction is undoubtedly the annual Great Migration. This natural spectacle sees immense herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope traversing the plains in search of fresh grazing.

You'll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness and spend the night at a campsite nestled in the heart of the bush, immersing yourself fully in the Serengeti's untamed beauty.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast, you'll embark on a journey towards Ngorongoro Crater, with hopes of encountering more marvels along the way! Ngorongoro Crater is a hidden gem, surrounded by steep volcanic walls, and harbors a pristine wilderness featuring vast savannahs, patches of acacia woodland, shimmering lakes, and marshes. This natural wonder was formed when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed on itself around two to three million years ago.

Descending into the Crater is an adventure in its own right. Upon reaching the Crater floor, you'll find yourself surrounded by abundant wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 species of birds. This unique habitat also offers the best opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino, which occasionally roams the open grasslands.

After spending a fulfilling afternoon exploring the Crater, you'll journey to your campsite near Karatu.
