Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Gorilla tracking

A representative from Musana Tours and Travel will meet you at your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport before embarking on an approximately 2.5-hour scenic drive northwest to Volcanoes National Park.

This remarkable park is renowned as the site of Dian Fossey’s pioneering research on mountain gorillas and remains one of the best places in the world to experience these incredible primates in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival, you will join other trackers for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Gorilla tracking in Rwanda is exceptionally well organized and professionally managed. The experience typically lasts half a day, though it can sometimes take longer depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they nested the previous night in relation to the starting point, which may vary.

After your trek, you will transfer to your lodge near the park to relax and unwind, as you prepare for golden monkey tracking the following day.

Golden Monkey tracking at Volcanoes Np Rwanda and transfer back to Kigali

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey tracking. Following the briefing, your adventure begins as you hike into the lush rainforest in search of a troop of golden monkeys.

Once located, you will have a rare opportunity to spend one hour observing these playful and fascinating primates as they interact in their natural environment. This experience offers a unique insight into Rwanda’s rich biodiversity, enhanced by the stunning backdrop of the rainforest.

After your trek, you will transfer back to your hotel in Kigali or to Kigali International Airport. This marks the end of your tour with us.
