Your safari will begin at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha, heading toward the Ndutu region. The drive to Ndutu takes approximately 6 hours, covering a distance of about 260 kilometers. Around 3.5 hours into the journey, you will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape transitions from hilly forests to open plains and lush grasslands.
Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will embark on a half-day game drive, with a convenient stop for your picnic lunch. Sweeping grasslands dominate the region, gradually merging into the Serengeti. Ndutu lies along the path of the Great Migration, where over 2 million wildebeests, along with thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles, journey through the Serengeti ecosystem each year.

Day 2

After breakfast, collect lunch boxes and on this day, you will take time to enjoy and learn how animals survive in the wilderness during calving season, of which during this period thousands of wildebeest give birth to their young ones will hunted by deadly predators.
Ndutu provide the best wildlife viewing during the green season, which is around December up to March, ndutu is found on the southern part of Serengeti plains where around 8000 wildebeest babies are born every day, there area is mostly covered by forest of acacia trees, also Ndutu is the best place to spot six species of cat – leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, African wildcat and serval.

Day 3

The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will have morning game drives in Ndutu before departing towards the Serengeti National Park by late morning. Serengeti, means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view.

Day 4

You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return back to the lodge for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart in the evening for game drive. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti - known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park.

Day 5

After finishing your breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend at around 10:00 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of approximately 260 sq km with a depth of over 2,000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs, and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top of the crater and proceed to Karatu for your overnight stay.
