Day 2

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast, offering excellent opportunities to spot wildlife during their most active hours. Explore the famous Kasenyi & Queen’s Plains, renowned for their rich concentration of animals and stunning savannah scenery. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas, & more roaming freely in their natural habitat. The area is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with numerous bird species commonly seen during the drive. Your safari continues toward the scenic Lake George area, where beautiful landscapes and wildlife sightings create perfect photography. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat safari on the famous Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise offers close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and variety of water birds along the shores, making it one of the highlights of any Uganda safari experience.

After breakfast, head to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in one of Uganda’s beautiful tropical forests. Accompanied by an experienced ranger guide, walk through the forest trails in search of habituated chimpanzees while listening to their calls echo through the jungle. Kalinzu Forest is home to chimpanzees, monkeys, colorful birds, butterflies, and unique plant species, offering an unforgettable primate experience in the wild. After the trek, continue with a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for endangered mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, you will head to the ranger station for a detailed briefing by experienced park guides about gorilla trekking rules, safety, and conservation efforts. You will then begin your trek through the dense tropical rainforest, navigating steep trails, valleys, and thick vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. The duration of the trek varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, making the experience even more adventurous and exciting. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one hour observing these gentle endangered giants in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and interact. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter is among Africa’s most extraordinary safari experiences. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Later, you may choose an optional cultural experience such as the Batwa community visit or a local coffee tour at an extra cost, or simply relax at the lodge while enjoying the peaceful forest atmosphere.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and begin your scenic journey back to Entebbe, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda primate and wildlife safari. Enjoy breathtaking views of Uganda’s rolling hills, rural landscapes, local villages, and lush countryside as you travel through the heart of the country. There will be a lunch stop during the transfer. Depending on your flight schedule, your professional guide from Naseeb Safaris will transfer you either to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or to a hotel of your choice in Entebbe.
