Walking Safari, River Nile Boat Ride, and visit to the Murchison Falls
Option 1. Morning transfer for the boat ride combined with visit to the Murchison Falls. The first part of the trip is the boat ride (1.5-2 hrs) in the River Nile, observing hippos, crocodiles, plentiful birdlife; and other wildlife along the shore. The boat ride ends at the bottom of the falls, where we begin a short 45 hike to the Top of the Falls with spectacular views of both Murchison and Uhuru Falls. Return to camp around 1-2 pm for lunch, followed by rest. Afternoon shorter walk (2 hrs) around Nyamsika in the dry riverbed.
Option 2. Alternative is a longer morning walk to the River Nile (4-5 hrs). Sandals are recommended for some wading through shallow warm water. This riverbed is frequented by variety of wildlife from buffaloes, kobs, hartebeest, elephants; and an occasional hyena. Lots of footprints to observe. The boat will wait for us at the end of the walk to continue to the bottom of the Falls. Packed lunch on the boat. Return to the camp late afternoon to rest.
