Our driver-guide will meet and pick you up from your hotel in Kigali. The drive will take about 4 -5 hours. You'll have lunch in Kabale/Kisoro Town depending on the border point used, and continue to Bwindi. You’ll check in at the lodge and have an evening of relaxation at the lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, you'll enjoy gorilla tracking in Bwindi. After breakfast, you will proceed for the morning briefing before the highlights of the trip gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day.
You will trek the gorillas through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, with the accompaniment of a guide and trackers. You’ll do this in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long. However, when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, you will quickly forget any discomfort.
When you see the gorillas, you will be within 7-8 meters of them. You’ll sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes. Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It isn’t easy to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 to 8 hours.

Day 3

You'll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take about 2-3hours. You'll pass through the Ishasha sector, where you may spot tree-climbing lions, a rare habit among the lions. Lions in that sector climb trees to spot prey from a distance or hide from the scorching sun. After that, you'll embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. You'll see many animals cooling off and quenching their thirst on the river shores. These include elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, antelopes, and many others. You may also spot predators like crocodiles, lions waiting to feast on the thirsty prey. You'll then return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge
After breakfast, you'll drive to Kyambura Gorge at 8.00 am for a briefing on the rules for tracking the chimpanzees. The gorge is known as "Valley of Apes" due to being home to several primates, which include chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons, and many others. The trek takes 2-3 hours, and it will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates and animals, as well as birds. You will return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 5

After your morning breakfast, you will pack your bags and enter the vehicle. You'll then drive to Kigali City, having lunch en route. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you foo, say goodbye, and this will mark the end of the 5-Day Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee tour.
