Your Tanzanian adventure begins as you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), the gateway to the safari circuit. On a clear day, you may catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak from the tarmac. You will be welcomed by a representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a vibrant city nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. Depending on your arrival time, you safari briefing may take place today or early tomorrow meaning.

Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will leave Arusha and drive southwest towards Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, the landscape transforms into a dramatic vista of grassy savannah dotted with ancient, bulbous baobab trees and termite mounds. Known as the "Elephant Playground," this park hosts the largest concentration of elephants in the region. You will spend the day game driving, watching family herds dig for water in the riverbeds and spotting other residents like giraffes, wildebeest, and the rare fringe-eared oryx. In the late afternoon, you will head to your accommodation for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3

Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park - Karatu

Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park - Karatu

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Although smaller than other parks, Manyara is incredibly diverse. You will enter through a lush groundwater forest resembling a tropical jungle and teeming with baboons and blue monkeys before the landscape opens up into grassy floodplains and the alkali lake itself. Keep your eyes peeled for the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions resting in the acacia branches and the pink flocks of flamingos along the shoreline. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and ascend the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the town of Karatu for your overnight stay.

Day 4

Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater - Ndutu

After an early breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend 600 meters down into the Ngorongoro Crater floor. This ancient volcanic caldera is a self-contained ecosystem teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five. You will spend the morning exploring the crater floor, with high chances of spotting lions, hyenas, and the critically endangered Black Rhino. After a picnic lunch, you will ascend the crater rim and continue your journey towards Ndutu area.

Ndutu

You have two full days dedicated to exploring Ndutu. This area is unique because off-road driving is permitted in certain sections, allowing you to get closer to the wildlife than in national parks. You will spend the day following the massive herds, watching newborn calves take their first steps and observing the intense predator-prey interactions. The area is famous for its high density of cheetahs, which thrive on the open plains, as well as lions, hyenas, and smaller predators like bat-eared foxes. The sight of thousands of animals covering the plains is a photographer's dream.

Day 7

Ndutu - Central Serengeti

Leaving the southern plains, you will drive north into the Central Serengeti (Seronera). The landscape shifts from the flat, treeless plains of the south to the savannah woodlands and kopjes (rocky outcrops) of the center. The drive itself is a game drive, offering chances to spot elephants and giraffes which are less common in the treeless south. You will arrive in the Seronera Valley in the afternoon. This region is renowned for its year-round resident wildlife, particularly leopards which are frequently spotted in the sausage trees along the Seronera River.
