Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your private safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha, beginning your journey to Tarangire, approximately a 2.5-hour drive away.
Tarangire is renowned for its elephant herds, expansive savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the vital Tarangire River. Wildlife congregates around the river, with giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests commonly sighted. The park also hosts buffalo, zebras, and wildebeests, often trailed by a variety of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the landscape and observe the wildlife.
You'll indulge in a picnic lunch within the park, featuring a delectable spread accompanied by coffee and soft drinks.
Following lunch and an extensive game drive, we'll make our way to our campsite located outside the park in the Mto wa Mbu area for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, we embark on our journey to Ngorongoro Crater. Upon first glimpse, the crater presents a scene reminiscent of a forgotten world. Concealed within the steep volcanic walls lies a pristine wilderness, comprising expansive savannahs, clusters of acacia woodland, and shimmering lakes and swamps. Formed by a colossal volcanic eruption and subsequent collapse two to three million years ago, the crater is renowned for its geological marvels and serves as a natural sanctuary housing some of the densest populations of large mammals on the African continent. Notably, the crater offers optimal opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino, occasionally sighted in the open grasslands.

Following lunch and an extensive game drive, we proceed to Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight stay. You'll have the unique experience of spending a night within this remarkable park at a campsite.

Today, immerse yourself in the wonders of Serengeti National Park with a full-day game drive, or opt for morning and afternoon game drives with a break for rest back at your safari lodge. Additionally, you have the enticing option of embarking on a scenic hot air balloon safari early in the morning, available at an additional cost. Regardless of your choice, dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at our previous campsite, ensuring a comfortable and memorable conclusion to your day's adventures.

Following breakfast at your campsite, embark on another exhilarating game drive in the Serengeti before continuing your journey with an en-route game drive to Natron via Klein’s Gate. Situated in the northeast of Tanzania, the wild and remote Lake Natron lies between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains. Here, the landscape itself steals the spotlight, characterized by its dry, desolate, and hauntingly beautiful surroundings inhabited by the Maasai. You'll arrive at your campsite in the early evening, ready to unwind and soak in the tranquil ambiance of this remarkable location.

Following an early breakfast, we will commence our activities at Lake Natron, exploring fascinating locales such as hot springs, Ngare Sero waterfalls, and more. Nestled at the foot of Africa’s sole active volcano, Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God), Lake Natron boasts the distinction of being one of the most alkaline lakes globally. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake serves as a magnet for thousands of lesser flamingos, rendering it one of the paramount flamingo breeding grounds on the planet.

After lunch and additional time to relish the activities here, we will journey back to our campsite in Mto wa Mbu, reflecting on the memorable experiences garnered at Lake Natron.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famed for its abundant birdlife and unique tree-climbing lions. The park's western border is marked by the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, while to the east lies the shallow Lake Manyara. Its diverse vegetation ranges from savannah to evergreen forest. Wildlife sightings may include giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and elephants, with the chance of spotting lions lounging in trees. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head back to Arusha, concluding our adventure.
