Nairobi to Masai Mara

We pick you up from the hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to Wilson Airport. Check in for the flight to Masai Mara one hour before departure time. The morning flight departs at 10h00 and the afternoon flight at 15h00. On arrival at Masai Mara, you will be met by a driver guide and transferred to the Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

After lunch at the lodge, enjoy the early afternoon at leisure before going on an afternoon game drive from 16h00 until dusk. The Masai Mara National Reserve is Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve and the world’s most famous safari destination in Kenya. The Mara is renowned for its great wildebeest migration, the 8th Wonder of the World, roaming lions, and the hospitable Maasai people.

Masai Mara

At 06h30, go on an early-morning game drive in a safari vehicle with a pop-up roof. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. You can also opt for a morning game drive, usually from 10h00 until midday. After lunch at the lodge, you will have an early afternoon of leisure. At 16h00, proceed for an afternoon game drive until dusk.

The 1,510-square-kilometer reserve has habitats ranging from riverine forests to grasslands doted with acacia trees famed for being leopard resting points. The Mara is part of an ecosystem that includes Tanzania's equally famous Serengeti.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

Wake up and proceed for an early-morning game drive at 06h30, or proceed for a game drive after an early breakfast.

You can also fly over the Mara in a hot-air balloon (at an extra cost). The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wild. Viewing abundant game afloat in a balloon is a memorable experience.

A late breakfast will be provided, and you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport at 12h15, a driver guide will meet you and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch a flight back home.
