Day 2

Transfer to lake mburo national park

Transfer to lake mburo national park

You will be picked up by our safari guide and transfer to lake mburo. Mburo is a compact gem Uganda's smallest savanna, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Entebbe/Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. But home to 350 bird species as well as animals such as: Giraffes, Zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, Defassa waterbuck, hippo, and the elusive leopard among others. On arrival, we shall check in and take some rest. At about 3 or 4pm, we can move out for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive to see wildlife.

Day 3

Morning walking safari and transfer to bwindi

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others. After this up-close encounter with wildlife, return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring over 300 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population), including several habituated groups, which can be trekked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience tomorrow.

Day 4

Gorilla trekking safari

Gorilla trekking safari

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the forest for your adventure and encounter. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken (4-8 hours) and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The time with these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation, and rest after a strenuous trek.

Day 5

Transfer to ishasha queen Elizabeth national park

Have breakfast then set off (about 4 hours) to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular! We will check in at the lodge where we will have lunch and some rest before moving out for a breathtaking game viewing experience. You will also be able to see other wildlife such as the Uganda kob, Cape buffalos, elephants and warthogs. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for relaxation, dinner and later overnight.

We will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and game drive our way to the accommodation situated North of Queen. Upon arrival on the other side, we will check in and wait for lunch. At about 3pm, we can move out for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains. During the game drive/viewing, look out for wild animals like; lions, the elusive leopard, herd of elephants, buffaloes to mention but a few. Alternatively, you could choose to go for the Queen’s breathtaking explosion crater drive (instead). The drive is sightseeing with very spectacular view of the breathtaking scenery in and around Queen. Return to the lodge for dinner & overnight.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the leading Uganda’s Savannah destinations most visited by holiday makers from all over the world, this is where the Well-known African Hunters live, the musketeers forming schools around shore banks, hundreds of ungulate grazing in the Open. After your breakfast, Get on the Safari game drive to trace for the members of the big game before they disappear into thickets.
Later in the evening, Get on the 1 – 2 hours boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, a haven for over 600 bird types, hippo, crocodile, Cape buffalo and later go for another evening game drive through the Kasenyi trails well known for its big hunters of the park such as Lions, Leopard, Spotted hyenas and many others since evening is their prime time to looking for their survival and expect to find them in action.

Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for one more game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. After the sighting on this game drive, we shall embark (right away) for a transfer that will see us check in at an accommodation at the edge of the Kibale Forest NP. We hope to have lunch at this property and also rest a bit before going out in the Bigodi. The Bigodi wetland boasts of an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates’ species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkey, and baboons. The Bigodi is also a paradise for bird watchers. After the beautiful time in the Bigodi, we shall return to the lodge where we will enjoy dinner and then overnight.

Have breakfast, check out and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, leopard, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants among others. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts about 450 bird species including the grey parrot, dwarf king fisher and the Goliath heron among others. Expect lunch en route. The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way.

Wake up early Morning, have your breakfast and transfer to this sprawling Savannah where the Africa’s well known hunters live, the early morning game drive will help us catch up with the Savannah’s early risers, your guide will help you to spot elephant, lion, Roth child’s giraffe, cape buffalo, water buck, oribi, bush buck, bohor reed buck, hartebeest, hyena and on a lucky day, you will see the leopard. The Evening hot sun awakens it, some become thirsty and parade near by the watering Points whilst others hide off under the shade. We will begin with an afternoon Boat cruise upstream the calm meandering Victoria Nile to the bottom of the gushing Murchison falls, Halt for just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome hippos, the busking crocodiles, and over the 17 km stretch you may see elephants, Giraffes, water bucks and Uganda Kobs and many more. After the experience, retire back and check in your lodge, Dinner and overnight.

Set off very early (about 6am) to Kidepo Valley National Park, arriving in time for some rest and lunch before going out for game viewing. You will proceed (about 3 or 4pm) for game viewing in the Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo. Narus is the sector of Kidepo that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland. It is also the area of the park with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter, most of the animals are in this part of the park. Be on the look for large herds of Buffaloes, elephants, many Zebras, antelope species and the lions, the elusive leopards. You will return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

This morning we will have breakfast and then move out to explore the African savannah on foot. Accompanied by an armed ranger-guide, you will venture along dry river beds, over rocky outcrops and through bush land to track the resident wildlife. If you end up in Kidepo River Valley, a stroll on its wide bed of white sand or in the borassus palm forest which feels like an oasis in the Sahara, is a fascinating attraction. Later (afternoon session), we shall return to the Narus Valley for more African wildlife encounters. Return for dinner and overnight.

Set off early (about 6:30 or 7am) to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – a successful conservation effort that was set to save the near-extinct rhino population in Uganda. Today, visitors to Uganda have a chance to encounter rhinos thanks to this effort. Once in Zziwa, we shall check in and have some rest. At around 4pm, move out to explore the Zziwa on a guided nature walk. Walking through this Sanctuary enables one to get a glimpse of the diverse and plentiful wildlife that call this place home. Besides wildlife sighting, you simply get to breathe in the pristine fresh air and soak in wonderful scenery. Just being close to nature. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner.
