Your private guide from Lucas’ African Adventures will be waiting with a welcoming smile to pick you up at Airport. Relax in your comfortable Alphard as he takes you to Arusha city for a brief city tour where by you will get a chance to visit Maasai market or local markets to buy some fruits of your choice. Later in the evening your driver will take you to your accommodation for relaxation and overnight stay. You may have your pre-safari briefing today, if not it will take place early tomorrow morning.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Early morning after breakfast. We depart to Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. After a packed lunch, we head for our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. You will have an opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino and large families of lions. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. Later in the afternoon we`ll be on our way to Southern Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu)

We`ll have an early breakfast and heading for a game drive in Ndutu Area, Ndutu is a very beautiful region and rich in wild animals. In addition, it is the only nature reserve in Tanzania where you are allowed to drive off-road. This allows you to get very close to the animals. Many predators are attracted by the calving happening here and roam this vast plain: lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs! Wildebeests, zebras and gazelles come here to give birth to their calves and stay here until April.

We`ll have an early breakfast and the depart to Central Serengeti National Park. Along the drive, you will be able to spot giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Prepare to be amazed when you catch your first glimpse of the endless plains of the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is home to the great migration. It is also a world heritage site teeming with wildlife.

You will have an early breakfast and afterward a short drive. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras, wildebeest and antelope. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Later in the afternoon you will drive back to Seronera Airstrip ready for your Zanzibar transfer.
