Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tourist guide who will drive you to your booked lodge. He will brief you about the 7-day safari in Uganda and Rwanda. You'll enjoy your dinner and overnight stay to relax and prepare for the following day.

Day 2

After having a hot, delicious breakfast, you will be met by your guide to start your day. You'll visit the Rwanda Genocide Museum, where the dark history was written in Rwanda in 1994, where about 1,000,000 people lost their lives. The remains of the victims were collected in this place. Afterward, you'll drive to Volcanoes National Park. You'll visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village for the cultural entertainment. You'll learn about the traditions of Rwanda people like dances, marriages, and feel free to join the experience.
You'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Wake up and get dressed up in long-sleeved shirts, pants, waterproof hiking shoes, walking sticks, insect repellent, and enjoy your hot breakfast. Drive to Volcanoes National Park Visitor Information Center for a briefing about Golden Monkey tracking. After the briefing, you will be assigned a guide to walk with in the forest. Golden Monkeys are endemic to the Virungas. These beautiful golden-backed monkeys are fascinating to see. You'll enjoy them as they play, feed, found in the high-altitude areas.
Afterward, you'll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda for gorilla tracking. You'll check in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Community Walk

Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Community Walk

You'll wake up early in the morning and dress up in long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, a rain jacket, waterproof shoes, and hut. After a delicious breakfast, have your packed lunch and drive to the visitor information center for a briefing and pre-gorilla cultural performances.
You will be put in 8 8-person group and allocated a group to track. Start your journey to search for the gorillas. Usually, the time it takes before tracing the gorillas depends on where they were last seen the previous day, from 40 minutes to 4 hours.
When you locate them, spend a maximum of an hour interacting with the gorilla family. Your guide will interpret for you the nature and learn about the gorillas from the food, social structure of the family.
In the evening, you'll visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience. Learn about their dances, food, craft, herbs, and life. These are the shortest people in the region and the first people to occupy the Great Lakes region.

Day 5

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a hot breakfast, you'll have your bags packed and ready to go. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha sector to search for the tree-climbing lions. You will spot various wildlife like elephants, buffalo, topis, kobs, and waterbucks. Ishasha sector is one of the few places where you can see the tree-climbing lion. This behavior among lions is passed on from generation to generation.
You'll enjoy your en route lunch.
Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth NP, embark on a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a 40 km stretch joining Lake Edward and Lake George. It's an important waterway for animals as it is a habitat for some and provides water for quenching thirst and cooling temperatures. Nile crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants, buffalo, pelicans, cormorants, and kingfishers can be spotted.
If time allows, you'll go for a short evening game drive in Kasenyi for sunset views in the savannah.
You'll return for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You'll wake up in the morning filled with energy and prepare yourself in the appropriate attire of long pants and sleeved shirts, waterproof shoes, water, rain jackets, and drive to Kyambura Gorge. You'll get a briefing from the ranger guide and start your walk into the gorge to look for the chimpanzees. You'll get a nice view of the gorge from the underground forest. Once you locate the chimpanzees, send a maximum of 1 hour learning about their lifestyle, social structure. Record videos, photos for memories.
After, enjoy your en route lunch and transfer to Lake Buninyon for relaxation and a boat ride. You'll check in at your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After having your morning breakfast, you'll go for a morning boat riding on Lake Bunyonyi to explore some of the beautiful Islands of the lake with the most exciting stories such as Akampene Island (Punishment) where the Kiga people used to punish girls who were found pregnant before marriage by leaving them there to death, Kyahugye Island, Bucuranuca Island and many others that whose stories will excite you. You'll transfer to Kigali International Airport. This is the end of the safari.
