3-Day Mikumi Safari with Night Game Drive ( Open Jeep)

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi and Night Game Drive

You will be picked up from the airport, ferry or hotel with a luxury Toyota Alphard van. You will be briefed about the trip and drive directly to Mikumi National Park (Alternatively Take an Electric Train and save 3 Transfer Hours). We will stop at Morogoro for lunch and continue to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will rest at the hotel for a few hours and prepare for a night game drive from 7:00 to 10:30 PM.

A night game drive is an adventurous activity in the evening in an open Jeep with a spotlight for a better view. A professional guide and an armed ranger will protect you from any danger. During the night game drive, you will be able to see the nocturnal and rarely seen animals such as civets, leopards, aardvarks, porcupines, genets, mongooses, bush pigs, lions, spotted hyenas, and other animals that are hidden during the day game drive. You can also spot hippos grazing on the ground.

Game Drive in Mikumi

After breakfast, we start a full-day game drive to spot animals in Mikumi National Park with an open safari Jeep. One of Mikumi's features is that it's stretched across a big plain, so you can spot many animals. Mikumi National Park hosts animals like lions, elephants, buffalos, impalas, zebras and many other wild animals. Enjoy your lunch at the picnic campsite in Mikumi National Park. In the evening, head to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Chambo Villas.

Mikumi to Dar es Salaam

We'll have an early breakfast and then drive back to Morogoro for your train to Dar es Salaam. On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at the ferry for ferry to Zanzibar, or we can drop you off at the airport or hotel.
